E3 Production and delivery times

When your order goes into production, the week it ships from Montréal, and how long delivery takes.

Written by Elise

Every piece is made to order in our Montréal atelier. Your order goes into production 1 hour after you pay and leaves Montréal in the ship week shown at checkout. Delivery then takes the time of the carrier option you chose.

Where to see your ship date

  1. In your bag, at step 2 (Shipping), look at the Production and shipping card. Estimated ship date shows the week your order will leave Montréal.

  2. The payment page repeats it ("Ships …"), and so does the confirmation after you pay.

  3. Later, click ORDERS in the menu, then Details on your order. The order page shows the PLANNED SHIP DATE.

How the ship week works

  • Ship weeks run from Friday to Thursday, Pacific time. An order paid after Thursday 11:59 PM (Pacific time) falls into the next week.

  • Your ship week is shown at checkout (Estimated ship date) and on your order.

  • The ship date is when your order leaves our atelier, not when it arrives.

  • Every piece is checked before it leaves. If one doesn't pass, we make it again, which can add a few days. We'd rather send a perfect order a little late.

Your choices at step 2

In the Production Time list:

  • Send to production now: the usual choice.

  • Ship at a later date: pick a weekday in the calendar. It can't be earlier than the normal ship date. Handy for an event or a gift that should arrive later.

  • Rush (+20%): your order is made faster, for 20% more on the order's subtotal. The extra cost shows in the summary, and the estimated ship date updates.

Delivery time

  • Once your order leaves Montréal, delivery takes the number of business days shown next to the carrier option you chose (see E1).

  • To follow it after it ships, see D6.

Planning for a holiday or an event

Add up the ship week shown at checkout, the delivery time and a few days of margin. Before busy seasons, such as the holidays, order a little earlier than usual.

Good to know

  • You can cancel within 1 hour of payment, before production starts: see D7.
