I3 The wallet: what it is and how to use it

What lands in your wallet, how to read your balances and activity, and how the wallet pays for your orders.

Written by Elise

Your wallet holds the money we owe you: your storefront and boutique earnings, refunds and credits. It is used automatically when you pay an order.

Where to find it

  1. Click the person icon at the top right of the portal.

  2. Click My Wallet. The page is called Your wallet.

What you see

  • Three balances: CAD, USD and EUR. Money stays in the currency it came in. A balance of 0 is shown faded.

  • Activity: every movement, newest first. Use All, CAD, USD or EUR to filter, and Show more to see older lines. Some lines have a Details link.

What goes into your wallet

  • Storefront sales: on each sale, you earn your retail price minus our cost. It's added in the currency of the sale. The line reads "Storefront sale · order #…".

  • Boutique sales: the same, for orders placed by a boutique you work with ("Boutique sale · order #…").

  • Refunds and credits: for example a credit from our team ("Refund · order #…", "Money added").

  • If a storefront sale is refunded to the customer, your earnings on it are taken back.

You can't add money to your wallet yourself. It only receives what we owe you: your storefront earnings, refunds and credits from our team.

How the wallet pays for your orders

  1. When you pay an order, your wallet balance is applied first, automatically.

  2. If your money is in another currency than the order, it is converted. The payment page shows it, for example "… from your USD wallet".

  3. Whatever is left is paid by card. If your wallet covers everything, the button reads Pay with your wallet.

  4. The order then shows in your activity as "Paid order #…".

Good to know

  • The wallet can't be turned off at checkout.

  • Paid touch-ups are paid by card only. The wallet isn't used for them.

  • Your bag shows your wallet balance before you pay: "Wallet balance …, applied at payment."

  • To get your money out, see "Get paid: PayPal and withdrawals".
