How to convert a PDF to Word
Open the [Contracts] list in LegalOn.
Click on the PDF file you want to convert.
In the File detail view, click [Convert to Word] at the top right.
✅ A message will confirm: "Conversion complete." The screen will switch to the new Word file's editing view, which is uploaded as the latest version of the original PDF.
Additional notes on the [▼] button menu:
[Review]: Directly opens the Risk Check screen with the PDF file
[Change Default]: Changes which button is displayed by default
Best Practices
Do not refresh, go back, or close your browser during the conversion.
Converted files are added to the version history of the original PDF.
[If display issues occur] Reconvert
If letters look wrong or turn into symbols, try reconverting by selecting [・・・] → [Reconvert from original PDF] at the top right of the file editing screen.
The reconverted file will be uploaded as a new version, and the previous Word file will remain as an older version.
