How to Upload Contracts and Your Own Templates

This article explains how to upload contract files and your own templates to LegalOn.


File Requirements

Make sure your file meets the conditions outlined in:

Steps to Upload a Contract (including executed contracts)

You can upload from the [Executed contracts] tab.

1. Go to [Contracts]. You can upload executed contracts from the [Executed contracts] tab.

2. Upload your files or folders.

3. Click [+ Upload].

4. [If you are subscribed to the Contract Management module] Select the contract type.

5. Select status.

(Note: If [Executed contract] is selected in step 4, the status will automatically be set to [Executed].)

6. Select your file(s) and the destination workspace. Only workspaces where you have Contributor or higher access will be shown.

7. Confirm upload.


Steps to Upload an In-House Template

1. Click [+ Upload].

2. Select your file(s) and the destination workspace. Only workspaces where you have Contributor, Editor or Administrator access will be shown.

3. Confirm upload.

⚠️ Notes:

  • If your upload does not appear after some time, the upload may have failed.
    → Check the [What is the Upload failure history?] for details.

  • There is a limit on the number of files you can upload at once.
    See: [Supported file types for uploading to LegalOn] for batch upload limits.

  • Only PDF files can be uploaded as executed contracts.

  • If you want to change the file type or status of a file that has been assigned the “Executed” status, duplicate the file and apply the changes to the copy.

  • The original executed contract document will be deleted and stored in the executed contracts deletion history.
