This guide explains how to sign in to LegalOn and provides solutions for common sign-in problems.
For First-time users: Set your password
When an administrator registers a new user in LegalOn, an automated email is sent to the user's registered email address:
Subject: "You have been invited to LegalOn"
From: LegalOn

Follow these steps to set your password:
Click the "Password Setup" URL in the email you received.
Note: The URL is valid for 1 week. If it expires, refer to "Link Expired."
Enter your new password twice on the password setup page, then click [Set].
Click [Return to Sign-in Page].
Once signed in successfully, your dashboard will appear.
⚠️ Notes
Your password must be 8 characters or more, alphanumeric, and include at least three of the following four character types:
lowercase letters (a-z)
uppercase letters (A-Z)
numbers (0-9)
special symbols (e.g., !@#$%^&*)

Enter your password and click [Continue].
If you can't sign in
If you can't log in, please refer to the situations and error messages below for solutions.
You don't know your sign-in information
Forgot your email address? LegalOn generally uses your personal email address for registration. If you don't know the email address registered with LegalOn, please ask your IT Administrator to confirm it.
Forgot your password? If you've forgotten the password needed to sign in to LegalOn, you can reset it. For instructions on how to reset your password, refer to "Change or reset your password."
You can't find your invitation email
If you haven't received the email or accidentally deleted it, check the following in order:
Check your spam/junk folder. Please verify that the automated invitation email hasn't been moved to your spam folder:

If your email client has a safelist feature, please add the
legalontech.comdomain.
Ask your IT Administrator for a re-invitation. If you accidentally deleted the email or didn't receive it due to safelist issues, ask your IT Administrator to re-invite you.

Confirm the email address registered in LegalOn. If the
legalontech.comdomain isn't restricted by your email client and you're still not receiving password reset emails, there might be an error in the email address registered with LegalOn. Please ask your IT Administrator to verify the email address registered for you in LegalOn.
If "Incorrect Email or Password" / "Invalid Email Format" displayed
This message appears if the email address or password you entered is incorrect. Please enter the correct information. If you don't know the accurate sign-in details, refer to "You Don't Know Your Sign-in Information."
If "Link Has Expired" displayed
This message appears if the URL for the password setup screen has expired. Please ask your IT Administrator to re-invite you, or click [Return to login page] to reset your password. For password reset instructions, refer to "Change or reset your password"
If "Invalid Link" displayed
This message appears if your invitation has been revoked by an IT Administrator. Please contact your IT Administrator for details.
If "This account has been locked due to multiple failed sign-in attempts. An unlock email has been sent to your registered email address." displayed
This message appears if your account has been locked due to multiple failed sign-in attempts with an incorrect password. In this case, an automated email will be sent to your registered email address:
Subject: "Your LegalOn Account Has Been Locked"

Click the unlock URL provided in the email to unlock your account. If the account unlock is successful, "Account Unblocked" will be displayed. If the unlock URL expires, please reset your password using the method described in "Forgot your password?"
If "There was an issue with your account. Please sign in again." displayed
This message may appear if you are using the IP Address Connection Restriction feature and attempted to access from an unapproved network, or if your account was deactivated while you were signed in. Please contact your IT Administrator for details.
