[New] How to manage Matter custom attributes

What are Matter custom attributes?

Matter custom attributes allow you to add and utilize freely customizable attributes as part of your matter information.

Beyond the default matter attributes, you can add your own unique matter attributes (e.g., difficulty level, related laws, target products) to align with your company's operations.

Refer to "How to edit Matter information" for details on the default matter attributes.

Added matter custom fields display below the default matter information.

Setting up Matter custom fields

  1. Go to [Admin settings] > [Matter Management] > [Custom attributes].

  2. Click [+ Add Custom Attribute].

  3. Select the [Input format] for the field, enter the attribute name, and click [Add].

Single choice

Select only one option from a list.

Max characters: 30, Max 50 options

Multiple choice

Select multiple options from a list.

Max characters: 30, Max 50 options

Text

Enter any string of characters.

Max characters: 30

Date

Enter any date.

Number

Enter any numerical value.

Max digits: 11

Your added matter custom attributes will now appear in the matter information on both the Matter List page and the Matter Details page.

⚠️ Notes

  • You can register a maximum of 20 custom attributes.

  • Attributes added with the "Text" input type cannot be filtered.

Reordering Matter custom attributes

You can reorder matter custom attributes to change their display order on the Matter List page and Matter Details page.

Simply drag and drop the matter custom attribute to your desired position.

Editing Matter custom attributes

  1. Click [...] > [Edit] next to the matter custom attribute you want to edit.

  2. Edit the necessary fields and click [Save].

Deleting Matter custom attributes

  1. Click [...] > [Delete] next to the matter custom field you want to delete.

  2. Review the message and click [Delete].

⚠️ Notes

If a custom attribute to be deleted is in use, a warning will appear. To force deletion, review the warning and click [Delete] again.
