Important Notes
- If your PDF is a scanned image, the converted Word file may differ from the original due to OCR limitations.
- For “Finalized” contracts: the [Convert to Word] button is disabled. To convert, download the PDF, re-upload it as a non-finalized version, and then convert it.
How to convert a PDF to Word
- Open the [Contracts] list in LegalOn.
- Click on the PDF file you want to convert.
- In the File detail view, click [Convert to Word] at the top right.
- Read the confirmation message and click [Convert].
✅ A message will confirm: “Converted to Word.”
The screen will switch to the new Word file’s detail view, which is uploaded as the latest version of the original PDF.
Best Practices
- Do not refresh, go back, or close your browser during the conversion.
- Converted files are added to the version history of the original PDF.
