[New] How to export Matter information in CSV format

This article explains the features of the new LegalOn. For information on the current version’s product features, please refer to this page.

You can export information about matters in CSV format and use the file for aggregation and analysis.


How to export matters as a CSV file

  1. Open the [Matters] list screen.

  2. Click […] → [Export matters] on the right side of the screen.

  3. Set the export conditions and click [Export].

Available Filter Conditions

Condition

Description

Matter assignee

Choose to export only matters assigned to you, or all matters.

Matter creation date

Export matters created within a specified period. Examples:

  • Set both Start and End Dates → only matters in that period.

  • Same Start and End Date → only that day.

  • Only Start Date → matters on/after that date.

  • Only End Date → matters up to and including that date.

  • Unset → all past matters.

Data included in the CSV export

Field

Description

Data Export Date/Time

Date and time when the export was generated.

Tenant name

Your tenant name.

Matter ID

Unique ID for each matter.

Matter name

Full name of the matter.

Matter type

Selected type (e.g., Contract Review, Drafting).

Requester

Display name of the current requester.

Requester's email address

Email address of the current requester.

Requester department

Registered requester department.

Details

Full request details (up to 4,000 characters).

Status

Current status.

Assignee

Assigned main responsible person.

Secondary assignees

Any additional assignees.

*Due Date (1)

The set due date (based on system time zone JST).

Matter details URL

URL to the Matter Details page.

*Linked File - Counterparty (2)

Counterparty name for any linked files (up to 5).

*Linked File - Counterparty Count (2)

Number of counterparties for linked files.

*Linked File - Type (2)

File type for any linked files.

*Linked File - Position (2)

Position settings for any linked files.

Created Date/Time

When the matter was created.

Latest Message Updated Date/Time

Last updated date/time of messages or emails.

First Completion Date/Time

First date/time the status was marked as “Completed.”

*Last Completion Date/Time (3)

Last date/time the status was marked as “Completed.”

*Custom Fields (4)

Any custom matter fields configured by your Admin.

⚠️ Notes

  • (*1) Dates follow JST (Japan Standard Time) as the system’s default time zone.

  • (*2) For linked files, information for up to 5 files will appear in order. For more than 6 linked files, check details in the Matter details page.

  • (*3) If a matter status changes from Complete → In Progress → Complete, the last “Complete” time is shown.

  • (*4) All custom fields appear in the export if configured.

💡 Info

  • If you have a large number of records, the export may take extra time.

  • Maximum export limit is 1,000 matters at once.

  • The export columns cannot be customized.

  • Any fields with no data will be blank in the CSV file.

    • Example: If no sub-assignee is set, that column will be blank.

  • If the filter conditions match no matters, the CSV will be blank except for the column headers.
