From Curriculum Maps to Assessments:
Using Blueprints and DSC Items to Align with GA Science and Social Studies Standards
Lennections provides DSC Item Bank Blueprints designed to align with the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE) curriculum maps and standards for Science and Social Studies across grades 1β8 and High School courses. These blueprints offer a structured and easy way to create pre-tests and post-tests for each unit while ensuring alignment with state standards.
How to Use the Blueprints
Use them as-is: Copy and paste the provided item numbers into the Lennections platform to create pre- and post-tests quickly.
Modify them as needed: Swap out items or adjust test structures to fit your specific needs.
π’ Important for Admins:
If you use these suggested items to create assessments, those items will no longer be available for teachers to use on other activities.
Accessing the Blueprint PDFs
You can find the blueprint PDFs for each grade and unit here:

Building an Assessment Using a Blueprint
Follow these steps to create an assessment using a Lennections blueprint:
Using the link above, access the blueprints and click on the desired grade level.
Locate the unit blueprints you want to use.
Open the blueprint PDF and find the item numbers for that unitβs pre-test and post-test (each on their own page).
In the left menu of your Lennections account, click on:
District Activities (District Admin Role)
School Activities (School Admin Role)
My Activities (Teacher Role)
Click the green Add Learning Activity button.
Select Activity Builder, then click Manually Select.
Name your activity, then hit the Next button.
In the left panel, enter the activity details (Grade, Subject, etc.).
In the right panel, use the Source dropdown menu to select the correct item bank.
From the blueprint PDF, copy the item numbers one at a time, paste them into the search bar, and click Search.
Click Add or Insert to include the item in your assessment. (To preview the item first, click the Preview button.)
Once all items are added, your assessment is ready to use! β π
Make sure PREVEIW the complete Assessment BEFORE assigning to students.
Customizing Your Assessments
If you need to replace an item after creating an assessment, follow these steps:
In the left menu of your Lennections account, click on:
District Activities (District Admin Role)
School Activities (School Admin Role)
My Activities (Teacher Role)
Find your test and click the underlined title to open it.
In the right panel, scroll down to the Student Actions section.
Find the item you wish to replace and click the Expand/Collapse button.
Choose from the following replacement options:
Manual Replace: Search for and select a new item manually.
Auto Replace: Select an item bank, and the system will automatically replace the item.
If there isn't another item with the same criteria, the item will remain the same.
By using these blueprints, you can efficiently create aligned, high-quality assessments that support student success.
