Why did I receive a request to upload documents and how can I do this?

Updated over 2 years ago

After opening an account, every LEON user must go through a verification procedure. If you fail to do so, the security team reserves the right to ask for copies of your ID at any time.

In some cases, the security team may request additional documents to verify your identity. This is to ensure additional security for transactions carried out under your account.

To upload your documents, go to the "Account Verification" section.

Before you upload a document, please make sure it meets the requirements listed below:

  • Your name, date of birth, document series and number, as well as your image and signature, are clearly legible.

  • All pages of the document are clearly legible;

  • The size of the uploaded file does not exceed 15 MB.

  • Acceptable format (jpg, jpeg, png, pdf) has been used.

  • It is a digital photograph (scans or photocopies are not acceptable).

It takes an average of one hour to check your documents. We will let you know the results of the verification process by sending a letter to your email address. You can also get a notification in the relevant section at LEON (‘Bell’ icon).
