Events are instructor-led trainings held virtually or in person. You can learn all about them in this article. For the moment, we're going to focus on creating an exact copy of an event and its details. This is useful when holding multiple sessions of an event for different audiences, or when only some details remain constant from one event to the next.

Before you begin: The event must first exist and you must have event creation permissions.

Select the event you want to copy from the Events page.

On the event overview page, select the Copy button from the command menu in the upper right corner.

A new training event form will load, one that includes all of the details of the original event. Original events and their copies only differ in that copied events include a "copy" suffix in their titles.

Change whichever fields need changing and leave the others alone. Making copies speeds up event creation whenever details are stable from one event to the next.

After you've described the copied event, select Create Event to save your work.

Voila! Your new event has been added to the queue on the Events page. 🥳
