Seismic is thrilled to announce the release of a joint-reporting data model within Seismic’s LiveInsights and Snowflake! All joint customers can now access comprehensive, ready-to-analyze data from Seismic Content and Seismic Learning.
With this update, you can build custom dashboards in LiveInsights that blend readiness and enablement data––even external CRM data––creating a holistic picture of your training and enablement efforts.
Who Is This For?
Admins and enablement leaders who create dashboards that include data from Seismic Content and Seismic Learning.
Trainers and sales managers who use dashboards to assess the performance of their teams.
What Changes Can You Expect?
Snowflake direct access and custom LiveInsights dashboards now include tables for Seismic Learning data.
Your existing custom dashboards may include Learning data in widgets that leverage the users and userActivity tables.
You can include Learning data in new custom dashboards. Upon release, any Seismic user with permission to create dashboards can access all of their Learning data.
What Actions Should You Take?
Review your custom dashboards. Determine whether dashboards should include Seismic Learning data. All formulas and widgets that leverage the userActivity or users tables now include Learning data.
Review your permission settings. Identify users who can create custom dashboards in LiveInsights, and determine whether these permissions should be modified now that Learning data is included in the dataset.
💡 Tip: Some lessons may include sensitive data that should not be viewed by all users who create custom dashboards. Learn more about user group permissions.
If you don't want to include Seismic Learning data, here are two actions to filter it out:
Exclude data where userActivity.category is ‘Training’.
Include only data where users.IsSeismicEnabled is 'True'.
📝 Note: This update does not affect standalone Seismic or Learning dashboards. Out-of-the-box dashboards are also unaffected.
Joint Data in Snowflake
If you use Snowflake direct access or Snowflake data share, Seismic Learning tables now appear in your Snowflake instance. You can find a list of these tables and their fields here.
You can also create custom queries, reports, and dashboards using tables of Learning-generated data, and push this data to your visualization tools.

Joint Data Available in LiveInsights
Seismic Learning data models appear in LiveInsights for any user with permission to create custom dashboards. Review the structure of these reporting models here.
Use Seismic Learning data to create custom dashboards that utilize Learning data alone, or dashboards that blend data from Seismic Content and Seismic Learning.
