As part of our ongoing effort to streamline the Seismic Enablement Cloud platform and consolidate our product offerings, we are sunsetting the following features on June 28, 2024:

These features are being replaced by Seismic’s browser extension for Chrome and Edge. Read on for more information about leveraging the new browser extension.

How will the user experience change leading up to the sunset date?

Beginning May 31, 2024, new users will not be able to install the Seismic Learning Chrome browser extension from the Chrome Web Store.

On June 28, 2024, the option to configure URL mappings for the Seismic Learning Chrome browser extension will be removed from Seismic Learning's settings menu.

Additionally, users will not be able to use the extension or web widget if these were previously installed. Proactive lesson recommendations will no longer appear, and users will see an error message if they attempt to search within the extension. We can't uninstall the browser extension on your behalf, but we recommend that you uninstall the extension to prevent or mitigate end-user confusion.

How does the new Seismic browser extension for Chrome and Edge compare to the sunsetting Chrome extension?

How can users install the Seismic browser extension for Chrome and Edge?

To use the Seismic browser extension for Chrome and Edge, you must first be upgraded to the enhanced Seismic platform. Contact your Seismic Customer Success rep to be added to the upgrade queue.

After you're upgraded, your users will be able to install and use the extension.

You can find documentation about these extensions in the Seismic docs portal.

Extension functionality differs depending on which Seismic Enablement Cloud products your company uses. Seismic Learning alone has the functionality outlined in the table above.
