If I upload a document once, does it fill in across all the lender applications?

How one uploaded document fills in across all your lender applications.

Written by Kaylan Pepin

Yes. You fill out and upload to one master application, and that data carries into the separate application the platform creates for each lender you select. So you are not re-entering the same client information or re-uploading the same documents for every lender. When you submit to multiple lenders, autofill populates each lender's specific form from the master data, and the required documents attach to each lender application. See below for the cases where one does not carry across.

Click through the walkthrough above to see master data flowing into a lender-specific form.

When a document does not carry across

Reuse is the normal behaviour, but it is not absolute. Brokers have hit cases where a document is visibly attached to the deal and the lender application still shows that document as blank or outstanding. If that happens, the file is still on the deal. What has not happened is the link between the file on the deal and that particular lender's application.

Check these before assuming the upload failed:

  • Open the lender application itself, not the deal, and look at its own document list. The deal-level view and the per-lender view are not the same list.

  • Confirm the document type matches what the lender is asking for. A file uploaded under one category does not satisfy a request for a different category, so bank statements filed as something else will still read as missing.

  • Check whether the lender is asking for a longer or different period than the file you uploaded, for example more months of bank statements than are on the deal.

  • If the document was added to the deal after that lender application was already created, re-open the application and re-attach or re-share the document to it rather than waiting for it to appear on its own.

If the document is on the deal, is the right type, covers the right period, and still will not show on the lender application, do not re-upload it repeatedly. Send us the deal name and the lender name so we can look at that specific application.
