When we make your pet's food, vitamins are added separate from minerals. Most vitamins are susceptible to damage from applied heat. When a new pet food is made, the nutritionists calculate the amount of vitamins needed for that formula. Knowing that some of it will be destroyed by heat, a chemist and/or nutritionist will calculate how much should be in the finished product versus how much to put in during the cooking.
