When it comes to natural flea control, there are many herbal products on the market with ingredients ranging from orange, cedar, and rosemary to catnip. These are somewhat less effective for repelling fleas than the medications provided by veterinarians, but they do work for some dogs. That being said, these herbal products must not be used on cats.
There are devices that hang off a pet’s collar. Be sure to do a little research and ask the company how long they have been selling them and how well they work. In addition, make sure the company can provide you with proof that the product will not endanger your pet's health. These would be safe for cats as well as dogs.
Lastly, you may use a contaminant-free fish oil supplement for pets. Our ultra-pure Omega-3 Fish Oil for Pets has the highest rating for its purity. Our liquid fish oil is easy to use but, should not be drizzled over kibble or canned food. Rather, it should be mixed with yogurt, peanut butter, or any other tasty food safe for animal consumption. Our experience has shown that excellent nutrition seems to help repel fleas, or at least keeps the skin in good health, so that flea bites are not as irritating as they otherwise would be.
Pet parents are turning to natural solutions for common pet problems. While we don't specifically offer a flea repellent, we do have info.
