Can you provide any results of digestibility tests for your pet foods?

Digestibility studies measure the intake and excretion of wastes, but these tests put undue strain on test subjects, and we won't do that.

We have not conducted digestibility studies on our pet foods but it's for a very good reason. As background, in order to determine the total digestibility of a food, test animals must be fed a specific amount and then measure the amount excreted.

Unfortunately, digestibility studies are not reliably accurate. This test measures the amount of food eaten and the amount of stool produced. The less stool produced, the better the digestion of the food. But we don't need a laboratory study to tell us what we know from tens of thousands of pets eating our foods - that the dogs and cats who eat our foods have small, firm stools. In a very real sense, we've demonstrated that the digestibility of our food is excellent, because consumers have been using our products with great results for the last 18 years! This level of digestibility is due to the high quality of our ingredients as well as our exceptional handling and cooking of said ingredients.
