It’s natural for pet parents to wonder if they’re making the right choices for their pets, but it’s not always easy to know what questions to ask. In an attempt to provide consumers with guidance, the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) has posed a series of questions that may be helpful when choosing a pet food.
While these questions are well intentioned, they do not tell the whole story. For instance, at Life’s Abundance the safety of your family is of utmost importance to us.
Some ways we ensure this safety:
Maintaining control over our products by refusing to sell through retailers, whether online or brick and mortar. That’s because selling through a third party puts responsibility for product storage conditions, pest control and shelf life monitoring into the hands of their employees and contractors.
Thanks to our direct relationship with you and our Quick Notification System, we can reach you quickly in the event there is ever a question about the finished quality of a product you received.
As a private, employee-owned company, we are guided by our purpose of empowering people and pets to live happier and healthier lives. In practice, that means that we do not take shortcuts, make compromises or engage in gimmicks for the sake of the bottom line.
That said, we also value transparency and are happy to provide these answers to the WSAVA guidelines.

Who makes the food?
All of Life’s Abundance dry foods are manufactured at facilities located in the United States. Our manufacturing partner has a sterling reputation for producing superior quality pet foods.
While they do produce products for other companies, as is common, it is important to note that all of our formulas, and even our vitamin mixes are proprietary and are not produced for any other brand.
Not only do we have long term relationships with our manufacturers, as with all of our products, we routinely monitor the production of these foods, to ensure that all of our products live up to our exacting standards.
