Irradiation is a process that uses ionizing radiation to kill dangerous bacteria in food and nonfood products. The radiation causes a chemical – not a nuclear – change similar to cooking or preservation methods.

Our water buffalo products are imported from India and are required to be irradiated plus indicated of this process on the packaging. Our water buffalo treats do specify they are irradiated both in words and by the universal symbol we have on the back of the bags.
