The Kit editor has four main areas that help you build and organize your content.

Navigator

The Navigator is the sidebar showing your Kit's structure:

  • Pages - Top-level containers for content

  • Headings - Nested items within Pages

  • Click to navigate - Jump to any part of your Kit

  • Drag to reorder - Rearrange Pages and Headings

Insert Panel

The Insert Panel lets you add content blocks to your Kit:

  • Assets - Files from your Library

  • Headings - Navigation points within a Page

  • Notes - Text with descriptions and instructions

  • Galleries - Browsable Asset collections

  • Banners - Full-width images for visual impact

  • Guides - Do's and Don'ts for Asset usage

Pro Tip: Click the tab on the insert panel to tuck it away or keep it open. When collapsed, hover over the tab to expand it temporarily.

Canvas

The flexible canvas where your content lives. You can add, delete, reorder and resize to build a beautiful Kit.

  • Select items - Click to select content

  • Drag and drop - Editors can rearrange content within Pages

  • Action Menu - Right-click or use the overflow (β€’β€’β€’) menu to access the Action Menu with display options and quick actions

  • Preview - Double-click Assets to view them larger

The Action Menu

When you select content and right-click (or click the overflow menu), the Action Menu appears with:

  • Display Panel - Quick controls for size, alignment, colors, metadata, and more

  • Searchable actions - Type to find any action quickly

  • Organized categories - View, Update, Display, and Manage actions

The Action Menu adapts to show relevant options based on what you've selected. See Using the Action Menu for details.

Inspector

The Inspector shows details about selected items:

  • Asset info - File type, dimensions, metadata

  • Properties - Editable settings for the selection

  • Actions - Available operations (download, delete, etc.)

Working together

These four areas work together:

  1. Use the Navigator to jump between Pages or Headings

  2. Use the Insert Panel to add content

  3. Use the Canvas to browse and edit content

  4. Use the Inspector to view details
