When your designs change in Figma, you can update the corresponding Assets in Lingo to keep everything current.

How syncing works

Assets imported from Figma maintain a link to their source. When you sync:

  1. Lingo checks for changes in the linked Figma elements

  2. Updated designs are re-exported with the same settings

  3. The Asset in Lingo is updated with the new version

Syncing Assets

Sync individual Assets

  1. Open an Asset imported from Figma

  2. Look for the Sync or Update from Figma option

  3. Click to pull the latest version

Sync multiple Assets

  1. Select multiple Figma-imported Assets

  2. Use the bulk sync option

  3. All selected Assets update from their Figma sources

When to sync

Consider syncing when:

  • Design updates have been made in Figma

  • You're preparing to share updated content

  • You notice Assets look outdated

Sync indicators

Lingo may show indicators when:

  • An Asset is linked to Figma

  • Updates are available

  • A sync is in progress

What syncing preserves

When you sync, Lingo preserves:

  • Tags and Custom Field values you've added

  • The Asset's location in Kits

  • Notes and other Lingo-specific metadata
