Protecting your brand Assets and data is a top priority. Lingo implements industry-standard security practices to keep your content safe from unauthorized access, data breaches, and loss.
Encryption
Data in transit
All data transmitted between your browser and Lingo's servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher. This includes Asset uploads, downloads, and all API communications. You'll always see the secure padlock icon when using Lingo.
Data at rest
Your Assets and data are encrypted when stored on our servers. Even if someone were to gain physical access to our storage systems, your files would be unreadable without the encryption keys.
Infrastructure security
Lingo runs on enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with:
Regular backups — Automated backups protect against accidental deletion or corruption
Access controls — Strict internal policies limit who can access production systems
Monitoring — 24/7 monitoring for security threats and unusual activity
Application security
Authentication — Secure password hashing and optional MFA and Single Sign-On (SSO) integration
Session management — Secure session handling with automatic timeout for inactive sessions
Permission controls — Granular role-based access controls at the Space, Portal, and Kit levels
Audit logging — Activity tracking for security review and compliance
Your role in security
While Lingo protects your data on our end, you can strengthen security by:
Using strong, unique passwords
Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your account
Enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) for centralized access control
Reviewing team member access regularly
Using appropriate privacy settings for sensitive content
