Why You Shouldn’t Use a Personal Email for Adobe Sign

When setting up Adobe Sign for eDocs in Liscio, we recommend that you use a work email—not a personal one.

Adobe Sign accounts are tied directly to the email address used to create them. If you use a personal email (like Gmail or Yahoo), it creates problems down the road.

For example:

  • If an employee leaves the firm, the Adobe Sign account stays with their personal email.

  • Any signed documents or templates saved to that account go with them.

  • The firm loses access to important files.

To keep everything secure and under your firm’s control:

  • Always use a firm-owned work email (like jane@yourfirm.com) to set up Adobe Sign.

  • This ensures all templates and signed documents stay with the business—even if someone leaves.
