Use ListTimer with Shortcuts

You can control ListTimer from the Shortcuts app. Use shortcuts to open ListTimer, start the timer you used last time, pause or resume the current timer, complete the current alarm, or restart the current alarm.

Available Shortcuts

Open the ListTimer screen in the Shortcuts app to see the available actions.

Open App opens ListTimer without starting a timer. Start Last Timer opens ListTimer and starts the timer you used last time.

Pause or Resume pauses the running timer or resumes it when it is paused. Complete Alarm stops the current alarm, including vibration, notifications, and Live Activity. Restart stops the current alarm and starts the same timer again.

Run from the Shortcuts App

Open the Shortcuts app, then tap ListTimer in All Shortcuts. Tap an action to run it.

Actions that control the current timer or alarm only help when that timer or alarm exists. If there is no running timer, paused timer, or current alarm, nothing may change.

Useful Ways to Use Them

Add Start Last Timer to the Home Screen or Action button when you often reuse the same timer for workouts, cooking, study sessions, or breaks.

Use Pause or Resume when you need to pause a running timer without opening ListTimer first. Use Complete Alarm or Restart when the alarm is ringing and you want to stop it or start another round quickly.

Use with Siri and Automations

Give your shortcut a clear name so you can run it with Siri, such as "start ListTimer" or "pause ListTimer".

You can also add ListTimer actions to automations based on time, location, Focus mode, or other triggers. For example, start the last timer at the beginning of a regular routine.

If They Do Not Appear

If ListTimer shortcuts do not appear, update ListTimer, open ListTimer once, then reopen the Shortcuts app. ListTimer shortcut actions are available on iOS 16 or later.
