A/B testing in LiveRecover enables you to compare various message and discount variations to identify the most effective approach, much like tasting two recipes to find the more delicious one!
LiveRecover's A/B Testing specifically enhances checkout recovery performance by pinpointing the strategies that resonate with your customers. It's about delivering the right message with the right discount for improved conversion rates.
Here's how to set up A/B testing:
1. Access A/B Testing in LiveRecover:
Go to your LiveRecover dashboard.
Click on "Workflows"
2. Select or Create a Workflow
Choose an existing Workflow or create a new one
Pro Tip: Rename the workflow to clearly indicate it's part of an A/B testing group
3. Add Segmentation:
Based on your preferences, add segmentation such as first-time customers, repeat customers, etc. You can also choose not to add any segmentation if you want to reach ALL customers who abandon their checkout.
Ensure the segmentation is the same for both A and B groups.
4. Include Customer Group as a Condition:
Click on "AND" and select "Customer Group" to specify the group
5. Create Message Variations:
Scroll down and experiment with the wording of your initial message
Here are some examples we’d recommend to test:
Choose to offer a "percentage % off" discount in one workflow and "amount off" discount in another.
Test different percentages like offering 15% off to Group A and 20% to Group B
Test the tone of the message between being casual or being slightly more formal
And our favorite, adding that you are not a bot!
Edit the agent's response as needed
6. Repeat Steps for Group B:
Once the workflow is set up for Group A, repeat the steps to create a workflow for Group B.
7. Run Workflows and Monitor Performance:
Allow both workflows to run for at least a week to gather sufficient data
Compare performance metrics by reviewing your workflow stats:
By following these steps, you can effectively implement A/B testing in LiveRecover to optimize your checkout recovery strategy and achieve better results.
