Foreman Permissions
Setting | Definition | Example | Tips |
Allow foreman to punch-out at time(s) in the future | You can allow foremen to punch in or out using a future time. When enabled, foremen can override their device time and manually enter a future punch time. | If a crew finishes work at 4:00 PM but needs to record a 5:00 PM punch-out, this setting allows them to enter 5:00 PM manually. | 💡We generally recommend leaving this setting disabled unless your workflow requires it. |
Import crew notes from estimates | When an estimate includes crew notes, those notes will appear when a foreman punches into a task from their phone. |
| We recommend setting this option to Yes if you include crew notes in your estimates. |
Allow foreman to leave timesheet notes blank | You can allow foremen to leave timesheet notes blank, or not. When crews punch out of a jobsite. | If you want to make the note mandatory, then select “no, tasks require notes” |
|
Allow foreman to update the status of scheduled visits via timesheets | Allow foremen to update the status of scheduled visits from timesheets. | Yes = field staff can mark a visit as complete when they punch out of an associated task.
No = if you want only admin users to update visit statuses. |
|
Allow foreman to delete timesheets | Allow foremen to delete timesheets. | Setting this option to Yes can be helpful when training field staff, as it allows them to remove duplicate timesheets created by mistake. | 💡Once training is complete, set this option to No if you want administrators to retain full control over deleting timesheets. |
