Yes. Locai One can run without an internet connection once the required model and software are available on the appliance.
It can be connected to your organisation’s local network, connected to the internet where appropriate, or used with an Ethernet cable directly between a laptop and the machine.
Locai One can also be configured to run fully air-gapped, with no external network connection. This is useful for sensitive environments where prompts, documents and outputs must remain within a controlled network.
Local inference is not dependent on an external model API, so the core AI workload remains available even when there is no internet connection.
