LocalClarity accesses and indexes all available review data made available by the review platform. For Google and Facebook, that means pulling in as much as 15 years of customer feedback (the oldest review in LocalClarity is from 2004).

All of your data can be viewed within the Review Dashboard in the application. In our top navigation bar, you can view the data in either a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly construct, and set the time frame for however long or short as you want. If you want to go back that far, we recommend setting the granularity to monthly reporting.

Unfortunately, not every review platform gives us full historic data access. Here are the details for some of the top review sources.

Google
All historic reviews are available. For restaurants, that can mean as far back as 2004. For most other businesses, the review volume starts in 2010, but builds dramatically starting in 2016 with the growth of Google Local Guides.

Facebook
All historic reviews are available. Review volume picks up in 2012 and peaks in 2017 for most businesses. Facebook's switch from reviews to recommendations in 2018 caused as much as a 40% drop in customer feedback volume.

Yelp
All historic reviews are available. Review volume builds in 2010 and peaks in 2016 for most businesses. Restaurant volume peaked in early 2018 and was on the decline in 2019.

TripAdvisor
All historic reviews are available.

Booking
All historic reviews are available.

Zomato
Only the last 5 reviews per location can be accessed through their API, so the starting point will vary by location.

TrustPilot
All historic reviews are available.

Each additional review source might have its own unique limitation. You can ask us at support@localclarity.com for additional questions.
