For the sake of consistency, all charts are standardized to make sense on a 5-point scale; With over 20 different integration points, not converting reviews that operate on a non-traditional review scale would either drastically skew averages or fail to seamlessly integrate.

2-Point Scale
This short scale is typically used with Facebook, as the only option for users to leave feedback is through the 'Does/Does Not Recommend' feature. The best way to remove the ambiguity associated with their reviews is through assigning 'Does Recommend' to indicate 5-points and 'Does Not Recommend' to indicate 1-point.

3-Point Scale
In cases where a review source operates on a 3-point scale we convert their highest positive value to indicate 5-points, their neutral value to indicate 3-points, and their negative value to indicate 1-point. Current examples of platforms with a 3-point scales include FourSquare and Better Business Bureau.

10-Point Scale
Interestingly enough, 10-point scales are the easiest to convert to fit a 5-point scale, as we're able to group each score into a total of 5 groupings. Our conversion for this scale is,

10's and 9's are 5-stars
8's and 7's are 4-stars
6's and 5's are 3-stars
4's and 3's are 2-stars
2's and 1's are 1-stars

As we add new platforms to our set of integrations, we will continue to standardize non-5-point scales using these conversions.
