Possible Scan Interference Explained
What is Possible Scan Interference?
When we run scans for your domain, we check various ports to see if they are open or closed. Sometimes, a port that we first see as open might later show up as closed in a follow-up scan. This change is called "Possible Scan Interference."
Why Does This Happen?
There are a few common reasons for this:
Network Changes: Your network setup might have changed, causing the port to close.
Firewall Settings: Firewalls can block scans or close ports to keep your network safe.
Temporary Issues: A device might be offline for a bit, leading to different results.
Timing of Scans: Different activities on the network at scan times can affect the results.
What Can You Do?
If you notice this issue, the best solution is to contact your domain service provider and ask them to add the IP address 203.12.218.0/24 to th allowlist. This will help us run successful scans without interruptions.
It's also important to be aware that some hosting providers have specific policies regarding scans. For example, certain policies state that performing vulnerability or penetration testing on their network without prior approval is not allowed.
