Hey there! Let's walk through how you can export your data from Keeper Security and get it ready for importing into Lockwell. It's a simple step-by-step process.

LastPass doesn't include file attachments when exporting data. Therefore, it's a good idea to download these attachments separately before you start the export process.

Here's how to export your passwords from LastPass:

Method 1: Via the LastPass browser extension

  1. Click the LastPass icon in your browser's toolbar to open the extension.

  2. Log into your LastPass account.

  3. Open the Account tab and choose "Fix a problem yourself", then pick "Export vault items".

  4. If you're using an older LastPass version, choose "Account Options", then "Extension Preferences", and finally "Export", followed by "LastPass CSV File".

  5. You'll be asked for your LastPass Master Password, type it in and hit "Continue".

  6. Voila! A CSV file with your LastPass items is now downloaded to your device.

Method 2: Via the LastPass website vault

  1. Visit https://lastpass.com/?ac=1 and log into your LastPass account.

  2. Choose "Advanced Options" and then select "Export". You'll get an email notification from LastPass.

  3. Open the email sent by LastPass and click on "Continue export".

  4. Go back to your LastPass website vault, select "Advanced Options", and hit "Export" again.

  5. Enter your LastPass Master Password and click "Submit".

If your browser allows pop-ups from LastPass, a CSV file will automatically be downloaded. If it doesn't, your vault items will appear on a new browser page. Copy and paste this data into a plain text file (like Notepad for Windows or TextEdit for macOS) and save it. Remember to add the ".csv" extension at the end of the file name (like "file.csv").

Awesome job! You've just exported your passwords from LastPass.

It's important to add your passwords to Lockwell, and then delete your exported CSV file as soon as possible! Follow this guide to import your CSV file of passwords into Lockwell's password vault for safe keeping.
