Who this is for
Warehouse operators and supervisors who created a label with Create a shipment and need to find its tracking number later.
Before you start
Have at least one of these details ready: the recipient name or address, carrier, warehouse, or approximate creation date. A manually created shipment may show “–” under Order Identifier because it is not linked to an order.
Find the shipment
1. Open Orders → Shipments. You can also search the navigation for Shipments.
2. Sort by created date and select the relevant warehouse or carrier if needed.
3. Use Quick search with the recipient, province or state, country, carrier, or shipment provider. If the shipment is linked to an order, you can also search the order ID.
4. Find the matching row.
5. Read the tracking number in the Tracking column. Use the label link in the same row to reopen the shipping label.
Expected result
The shipment row shows the recipient, provider, tracking number, label, shipping time, and carrier tracking status.
Troubleshooting
• Searching the order ID returns no results: clear the search and use the recipient or carrier instead. Manual shipments may not have an order identifier.
• “No tracking available yet” appears: the carrier has not returned a tracking event yet. The tracking number can still appear in the Tracking column.
• The carrier website shows no activity: confirm the label creation date and whether the package has been handed to the carrier. Tracking normally starts after the carrier’s first scan.
• You still cannot find the shipment: clear all filters, confirm the warehouse, then contact Logentic Support with the recipient, carrier, approximate creation date, and warehouse.
Related workflows
You can void an incorrect label from the same Shipments row. Canada Post shipments may also need the daily manifest and pickup workflow before carrier handling begins.
Visual reference
On the Order Shipments page, look for the Tracking column beside Provider and the label link directly below the tracking number.
