When the app thinks you're walking, driving a car, traveling by train, or using other non-bike modes, we don't turn on GPS in order to preserve battery life. You might see an imprecise zig-zag line on the map but that's okay for us, as we're only interested in biking data. It is important, however that the app know what mode of transport you're using. So if you're out walking or driving a car and it gets identified as a bike ride, please report this and describe what happened.
