⛔️E-scooters: Although e-scooters are in the spirit of Love to Ride, we don’t allow these rides to be logged. We've found over the years that focusing on one mode of transport has made us more successful at getting people active and out of cars as we can provide clearer messaging and expertise when we focus on cycling.

Can I log my indoor/stationary rides on the site?

We currently allow indoor rides to be logged on the site for people living in certain areas. You can manually log these on your user profile if this setting has been enabled for riders in your area. Simply enter a distance or length of time, the date, and then select ‘indoor ride’:

We understand that there are many barriers to riding that mean that people can’t always get outside on their bike. Indoor riding can also be a great way to build confidence and fitness levels, which may help people to get riding outside. This is why in some areas we now allow indoor rides to be logged on the site.

If you have a disability that means you can’t ride a bicycle, but are able to ride on an indoor stationary bike, then no matter where you are based you can log your indoor rides with us. We would love you to participate in all our programs and campaigns on your stationary bike and log the rides you do on the Love to Ride site as fun/fitness.

Please note that indoor rides cannot be synced from the Love to Ride app, Strava or MapMyRide and will need to be logged manually.

Can I connect my training device with Love to Ride?

Currently, Love to Ride is only set up to connect with Strava and MapMyRide. If you use a training device to track your rides, there is a good chance you can connect this with Strava, which can then sync to your Love to Ride profile. Find out more about syncing with Strava here.

Can I log ebike rides?

Yes! You're welcome to log ebike rides. Ebikes make riding a bike more accessible as they can minimize some barriers (such as tricky hills and long distances) and that helps us achieve our goal of getting more people riding outside.

Can I take part using an adaptive bike?

Yes, Love to Ride is open to everyone, whatever their ability or type of bike. Because riders have varying abilities, there are many different variations of adaptive cycles.
