With LPagery, you can dynamically add unique images to each generated page by specifying external image URLs in your source file. This approach is especially useful if you want to avoid manually uploading images to your Media Library and need each page to display a unique visual.

This feature is available for the LPagery Extended plan and above.

Note: Make sure you have permission to use any external images you include. Unauthorized use of images may infringe on copyright laws.

Step 1: Set Up Your Template Page with a Placeholder Image

  1. Add Placeholder Image to Your Template:

    • Create or select a placeholder image on your template page using your preferred page builder.

    • This placeholder image serves as a reference that LPagery will replace with the specified images in your source file.

  2. Choose a File Name for the Placeholder Image:

    • Decide on a name for your placeholder image, such as placeholder.jpg. You will use this name in your source file to signal LPagery which image to replace on each page.

  3. Set the LPagery Download Filename

    • You need to set the file name which the newly downloaded images will have. Here you can use placeholders to make each downloaded image have a unique name.

Step 2: Prepare Your Source File with External Image URLs

  1. Create a New Column in Your Source File:

    • In your source file (Google Sheet, CSV, or XLSX), add a new column. Name this column with the placeholder image file name you set in Step 1, such as placeholder.jpg.

  2. Add External Image URLs:

    • In the rows of this column, add the URLs of the images you want LPagery to download and use for each generated page.

  3. Verify the URLs:

    • Double-check each URL to make sure they point to publicly accessible images in formats like .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, or .webp.

Step 3: Enable Image Processing in LPagery

  1. Go to LPagery Settings:

    • In your WordPress dashboard, go to LPagery > Settings.

  2. Enable Image Processing:

    • Find the Image Processing option and enable it.

    • Click Save Settings to apply your changes.

Step 4: Generate Pages with LPagery

  1. Select Your Template Page:

    • Navigate to the LPagery dashboard and choose the template page with the placeholder image.

  2. Upload or Link Your Source File:

    • If you are using a Google Sheet, paste the link. For a CSV or XLSX file, upload it directly.

  3. Review Page Setup:

    • Click Next to review the pages that will be generated. LPagery should display a preview showing the specific image each page will use based on the external URLs from your source file.

  4. Generate Pages:

    • Once you’ve reviewed the setup, click Create Pages. LPagery will download each specified image and replace the placeholder image in the template with the external image URL for each page.

Step 5: Confirm Image Replacements

  1. Open the Generated Pages:

    • Check the generated pages to ensure that LPagery successfully downloaded and inserted the specified images from your source file.

  2. Verify Image Placement and Metadata (Optional):

    • Make sure each page displays the correct image as specified in your source file. This method helps create visually unique pages and enhances SEO if relevant alt tags are added.
