Managing contacts by stage is now handled in Customer Journeys (which replaced the older Workflows & Stages area). Use it to define stages and move contacts through them, and use Automations to trigger SMS/email automatically at key moments. See "Customer Journey AI: Overview" and "Automations — Getting Started."
