Signing Deliverables When You're Not the Final Signer

Updated over 7 months ago

It's common for one team member to prepare a deliverable, and another authorized individual to provide the final signature. You don't need to manually change the name in the signature field. Lumonic automatically captures the name of the person who is logged in and actually clicks to sign. This ensures accuracy and creates a secure record.

Step 1: Complete Your Portion of the Deliverable

  • Fill out all the required information in the deliverable.

  • When you reach the signature field (like "Sign here"), do not type in the final signer's name. Leave it as it is.

  • Save your progress: Click "Save as Draft" (or "Save & Exit"). Do not click "Submit" or "Sign" at this point.

Step 2: Notify the Authorized Signer

  • Once you've saved your draft, simply let the authorized signer know the deliverable is ready for their signature.

  • They will need to log into their own Lumonic account.

Step 3: The Authorized Signer Completes the Signature

  • The signer logs into their Lumonic account.

  • They'll find the deliverable awaiting their signature.

  • When they click to sign, their name will automatically appear in the signature field, confirming their identity.

  • They can then click "Submit" or "Sign" to finalize the deliverable.
