As of Dates and Restatements

Updated over 4 months ago

Restatements happen when a company changes a value they have previously reported. Example:

June 2024 Revenue was originally reported as 1,000,000 at the end of June.

Then, at the end of July, the company revised that report and says that June 2024 revenue was actually 900,000.

Many firms only take the latest value but with Lumonic you can track all restated figures over time if needed.

Note: Each firm handles restatements differently, so please check with your account manager or data services contact if you want to make changes to how Lumonic handles it for you.

How to See restatements

  1. Navigate to the metrics tab

  2. See any metrics with a "+N" figure in the cell

  3. Hover "+N" and see each restated value with its as of date

Editing Restatements

You can directly edit restatements in line. Note, we only recommend this when these restatements are not available in an underlying source file. When figures are available via a company source file, use data extractions.

  1. Click the "+N"

  2. See list of restated values and their as of dates

  3. Click add new value

  4. Enter as of date

  5. Enter Value

  6. Click Save

Working with restated data

By default excel and dashboard widgets take the latest value. If you need to do analysis using data other than latest, reach out to your account manager.
