In dotdigital, you can create segments based on point-related information and use them for customer analysis or targeted campaigns within those segments.


How to Create a Segment

From the "Segments" menu, click on "NEW SEGMENT" and select "Blank template".

You can define detailed conditions by dragging items from the left-side menu to the rule area on the right.
Once you save the settings, the segment will be created, and the corresponding customer accounts will be extracted automatically.

Examples of Segments You Can Create

Below are examples of segments that can be created using easyPoints data.

Segment Based on Point Balance

From the left-hand menu, drag "Data fields" to the rule area, then select the data field for **Point Balance**.
For details on how to configure data fields, please refer to this link.

You can set segment rules based on points such as

  • 「is at least」 + 「1000」

  • 「is at most」 + 「1000」

and filter our all accounts that match the point rules you have set.

Segment Based on Expiration

Select the expiration data field, then set date-based conditions such as

  • occurs after today by X days

  • occurs in the next X days

This enables segmentation based on customers whose points are nearing expiration.

Segment Based on Tier

Set the Tier UID as the data field, and configure the condition to match a specific Tier ID.

This allows you to extract only customers who belong to a particular tier and target them with personalized campaigns.
