Overview
The basic point awarding system in easyPoints grants points based on the order amount. However, you can also configure point rewards for shipping fees separately.
Since shipping fees are managed independently on Shopify, you must set them up separately from order-based points. As of October 2025, it is not possible to configure different settings for each tier.
Shipping points can configured by the following rules.
Point rule per currency (e.g. 1 point per ¥100 of shipping)
Fixed value per shipping
Set up
Open the "Point Rules" in the easyPoints admin, and move to the "Shipping rules" settings.
Shipping codes
Each shipping method in Shopify has an assigned identification code.
By specifying this code and adding a new point setting, points will be awarded when that particular shipping method is used.
Click the “Add shipping rules” button and enter the code of the shipping method you wish to configure. Any shipping method that has been used in an order after the release of this feature will show in the pull down to select.
If the shipping fee you want does not appear in the dropdown, you will need to manually enter the code. If you are unsure of the code, follow the steps below.
Open the Shopify page for an order that uses the shipping method in question.
Add
.jsonto the end of the URL.In the displayed JSON data, check the value of
order.shipping_lines.code.
Title
Enter the name to display within the easyPoints widget in the title field.
Point settings
Points can be rewarded based on a point rule, or as a fixed amount per shipping.
Please select "Set amount" or "Per currency amount", and enter the point amount.
Adding, Editing, and Deleting Settings
Settings are configured separately for each shipping method.
You can add, edit, or delete these settings at any time.
Widget displays
If any shipping points are set, point rules or fixed amount applied to the shipping method will be displayed in the "How to earn" section in the easyPoints widget.
The shipping method names will get displayed as the title set in the shipping point settings.

If you are a PLUS merchant, you can display the points earned from each shipping method in the checkout page's shipping section.
Set up
Go to the "Customization" page from the checkout settings page
Add the "shipping easyPoints Checkout UI" block into your shipping section and save
Merchants above the pro plan will be able to use this feature without extra charge.
If you would like to use the tier feature without the plan, you will have to buy the shipping points feature separately for a monthly fee of $10.
