How to Add & Edit the Student Room Template

To Add:

  1. Search for Student Room Template
    From the MagicSchool help center article, click on the desired Student Room Template and click 'Add Room' to add it to your MagicSchool Student Rooms.

To Edit:

  1. Select the Room and click on the three vertical dots next to 'Active'

  2. Select ‘Edit Room’ and then Click 'Next'
    This will allow you to edit the room name, grade level, number of students allowed to access.

  3. Add or Remove and then Click 'Next'
    Clicking on tools under 'Selected Tools' will remove the tools from the room.

    *If you want to keep the same tools, but want to edit them leave them in the room*

    Clicking on tools under 'Available Tools' will add the tools to the room.


  4. Configure to Customize Tool Details

    Select the tools you want to customize

    • Change the directions, titles, prompts, reading level, etc. Hide or allow students to view and edit themselves.

    • Update the chatbot's instructions to keep conversations focused on specific objectives or tasks aligned to your students’ needs.

    • Add your own relevant files or links.

  5. Save Your Changes
    Choose Update Your Room to save all changes.
