Magical Vacations uses Cart and Checkout Validation to block the checkout while your store is in vacation mode. This will also block preorders and backorders.
Magical Vacations also hides the Add to Cart button on the online store sales channel, so if your preorder or backorder app relies on that button, it won't work as expected. Many preorder and backorder apps offer an app block option instead, and we don't hide those.
If you need to accept preorders or backorders during vacation mode, you can disable checkout blocking in the app settings. Customers using your preorder or backorder app will then be able to complete their order, while our app will hide the default Add to Cart buttons.
How to disable Cart and Checkout Validation
Go to your Shopify Admin > Apps > Magical Vacations.
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Scroll to the Checkout section.
Uncheck the box for Block checkout during vacation mode.
Save your changes.
