A rule with Keep taking orders shows your vacation message on your store while customers can still add to cart and check out. Use it for a short break or a shipping delay, for example "We're away until the 24th. Orders placed now ship when we're back."
In the app, open Rules and create a rule or edit an existing one.
Write your message and turn on Enable banner, Enable inline, or both under Display options.
Under Settings, check Keep taking orders.
Set the schedule and set the rule status to Active.
Click Save.
Good to know
You don't need to change any other setting. You can leave Block checkout during vacation mode on in Settings. It never affects a rule with Keep taking orders.
If another active rule doesn't have Keep taking orders checked, your store stays closed while that rule is active. That rule hides the buy buttons and blocks checkout.
Prices always show for a rule with Keep taking orders, so Enable product prices is greyed out.
Your message shows on your store pages, including the cart. It doesn't show inside Shopify's checkout.
