What is Global Context?
Global Context is a powerful customization feature in timeOS that helps the AI understand who you are, what you do, and how you want your insights presented.
By setting this once, your preferences and work details are automatically applied across all your meetings—so summaries, action items, and tasks reflect your tone, style, and priorities.
Where to Find It
You can access Global Context by:
Clicking the ⚙️ Preferences icon in the bottom left corner of timeOS.
Selecting Global Context from the left-hand sidebar.
What You Can Set
Here’s what you can customize:
👤 Name
Your full name, so AI can refer to you correctly in notes and summaries.
💼 What do you do?
Specify your role —this helps the AI better understand your responsibilities and tailor action items accordingly.
🧑🤝🧑 Tell us more about your work
Describe your company and team.
This improves recognition of teammates in summaries and avoids AI confusion during meetings.
✍️ Summary & Insights Style
Choose or write how you want your summaries to sound. You can:
Set a preferred tone (e.g. “Clear and actionable”, “Big-picture oriented”).
Write detailed style instructions (e.g. “Use bullet points for tasks. Emphasize strengths and opportunities.”).
🌍 Default Meeting Language
Choose the spoken language for your meetings (e.g. Hebrew). This ensures accurate transcription and translation.
Why It Matters
Setting your Global Context improves:
✅ Summary relevance – More accurate and tailored takeaways
✅ Task clarity – Clearer, role-specific action items
✅ Meeting consistency – Your tone and priorities are reflected in every summary
✅ Time saved – No need to reintroduce yourself to the AI in every meeting
Can I Update It Later?
Absolutely! You can revisit the Global Context page anytime to update your details, summary style, or meeting language.
