Teacher View in Practice Mode

Practice Mode helps teachers provide targeted skill practice, monitor student growth, and support personalized learning.

Access Practice Mode

To open the teacher view:

  1. Click Practice in the left-hand menu.

Teachers will see:

  • the same practice content students access

  • student progress and completion data

  • stars earned

  • attempted skills

  • growth across standards and domains

Recommend Skills to Students

Teachers can recommend practice skills based on assignment or quiz performance.

Skills can be recommended to:

  • individual students

  • small groups

  • entire classes

Recommended skills appear at the top of the student’s Practice tab, making them easy to find and complete.

Target Specific Skills

Teachers can recommend:

  • individual skills

  • targeted concepts

  • specific standards

This allows teachers to provide focused support rather than assigning broad content areas.

Practice recommendations are commonly used for:

  • reteaching

  • intervention

  • review

  • differentiated support

  • enrichment

Control Grade-Level Access

Teachers can lock or unlock grade-level content within Practice Mode.

Settings can be applied to:

  • individual students

  • groups

  • entire classes

This helps ensure students practice appropriate content aligned to instructional goals and readiness levels.

Track Student Progress

Students earn stars based on accuracy within each practice set.

What Teachers Can Monitor

Within the Practice dashboard, teachers can:

  • view student star ratings by skill

  • identify students who have not started recommendations

  • monitor practice participation

This data can help guide:

  • reteaching decisions

  • intervention planning

  • small-group instruction

  • student conferences
