The Solutions Competition is a fun, friendly math contest run by Magma twice a year (fall and spring). It’s designed to boost student engagement while encouraging meaningful use of Magma Math.
Competition Rules
To ensure a fair and fun competition, all participants must follow these rules:
The competition runs for two weeks.
Spring 2026 dates: May 4th and May 15th
Elementary, middle, and high school classes compete separately.
Only assignments or quizzes assigned during the competition window will count toward totals.
Practice Mode submissions do not count toward competition results.
The goal is for each class to submit the highest number of valid solutions.
Solutions must be developmentally appropriate.
Assignments do not need to match grade exactly, but clearly inappropriate submissions (e.g., high school students completing kindergarten-level work) may be disqualified.Students must show their work using the canvas tools (pencil, keyboard, or manipulatives). Uploaded photos of handwritten work are also accepted.

Teachers play a key role in the success of the competition:
Register your class using the official sign-up form.
