How to Freeze Student Screens
Open the Assignments tab.
Select an assignment to open the Heatmap.
Click the Snowflake icon.
All students currently working in that assignment will immediately have their screens frozen.
Unfreeze Student Screens
Teachers can manually unfreeze students at any time by clicking Unfreeze.
If no action is taken, screens will automatically unfreeze after 15 minutes.
This automatic timeout helps prevent students from remaining locked accidentally.
What Students Experience
While frozen:
students cannot interact with the assignment
drawing and answering are disabled
navigation away from the assignment will not remove the freeze
Students regain access once the teacher unfreezes the assignment or the automatic timeout ends.
