What Is Key Vocabulary?
For each assignment, Magma automatically generates:
4 vocabulary cards
Each card includes:
a key math term
a student-friendly definition
examples connected to the assignment content
The vocabulary always aligns to the concepts students are about to encounter in the assignment.
How Teachers Use It
Open an assignment.
Navigate to the Launch Tab.
Review the generated vocabulary cards.
Introduce and discuss terms with the class before independent work begins.
Teachers may also encourage students to:
explain terms in their own words
share additional examples
connect vocabulary to prior learning
Lava discussion prompts may also appear to help spark classroom conversation and surface student thinking.
