Fluency Placement Check đŻ
Before their first Fact Fluency practice, pupils now take a short placement check. This means practice starts at the right level for each pupil instead of at the very beginning, so they spend their time on the facts they still need to work on. Available on web and iPad.
Remainder Answers â
We've added a new answer type for division with remainders. Pupils can answer in the form 3 r 2, either typed or handwritten. The answer type is set per problem in the content. Available on web and iPad.
Show Real Work âď¸
Pupils who answer correctly but only scribble on the drawboard can no longer skip showing their work. Lava now asks them to show their real working, and the problem stays locked until an AI check accepts the drawing. Once accepted, it counts as a good solution, giving teachers a truer picture of pupils' mathematical thinking. Available on web and iPad.
Practice Steps Down to the Skill Underneath đŞ
When a pupil struggles with a skill in Practice, they are now given the skill it builds on rather than a random easier one. Once they solve it, they climb back up to the skill they found tricky, so practice targets the real gap in understanding. Available on web and iPad.
