How do I set up a Custom Tracking Subdomain?

Replace "mlbtlr.com" used for Email Tracking and Link Tracking with your own tracking subdomain to increase the trustworthiness of your emails.

ℹ️ Before you start: Custom Tracking Subdomains require your domain to allow Amazon domains to issue SSL certificates. This can be done by updating the CAA records in your DNS settings. Learn more.

Step 1: Open Mailbutler

Open the Mailbutler Sidebar:

👉 Apple Mail

👉 Gmail

👉 Outlook

Step 2: Open settings

Go to Account & Preferences → General → Tracking.

Step 3: Enter your Custom Tracking Subdomain

Enter the subdomain you'd like to use and press Enter.

For example:

t.company.com

Step 4: Verify your Custom Tracking Subdomain

  1. After you press Enter, Mailbutler generates a CNAME record for your subdomain.

  2. Add the displayed CNAME record to your domain’s DNS settings. Once the DNS record has been added, return to Mailbutler and click Verify status to verify your Custom Tracking Subdomain.
